Background

David S. Waller is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. After working in the banking and film industries, David taught at a number of universities in Australia, including Charles Sturt University, the University of New South Wales and the University of Newcastle. 


He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, and a Ph.D from the University of Newcastle. 

Research

David’s research interests include marketing communications, controversial advertising, international advertising, marketing ethics, and marketing education. 


He has published over 70 refereed journal articles, and over 100 conference presentations in local and international conferences. Past studies have been published in the Journal of Advertising; Journal of Advertising Research; European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Advertising; and Journal of Marketing Communications.
